Transform YourWellbeing with Reiki
What is Palliative Reiki?
Palliative care is specialized medical care for people living with a serious illness. The goal is to provide relief from the symptoms and stress of the illness, improving quality of life for both the patient and their family. With a team based approach, it addresses suffering not just physically, but also psychologically, socially, and spiritually. Palliative Reiki is a supportive therapy used in palliative care to help manage symptoms and improve the well-being of individuals facing serious, life-limiting illnesses.
Who is this for?
Individuals facing the emotional and spiritual pain of life-limiting illness (such as Cancer, Heart Disease, ALS, Kidney Disease, Liver Failure, and MS) as well as their Families and Caregivers. For specific inquiries, please send a detailed request outlining your current situation via email to: palliativereiki@gmail.com.
Reiki does not offer a cure for an incurable illness, what Reiki can do is increase the quality of life someone has by relieving some of the physical and emotional suffering.

About Jacqueline Gignac
My 40-year career has been a testament to two guiding principles: transformation and service. From the outset, helping others felt like my natural calling, leading me into various service roles. But the true depth of that service emerged only after a profound personal reckoning.
In my early thirties, despite a career brimming with awards, accolades, and financial success, I found myself profoundly empty. Work had consumed everything, leaving my relationships neglected and a gaping hole where community should have been. I was disconnected, burned out, and unsure of what lay ahead.
It was then, in a moment of raw vulnerability, that I reached out for help. At the same time, I also had an inner desire to help others, but was unsure how to. However, my intuition was clear: I couldn't truly assist others with their pain until I addressed my own. This led me to therapy, where I embarked on a deep dive into my inner landscape, confronting past traumas, losses, and challenging deeply ingrained patterns that were no longer serving me. It was a multi-year journey of profound change, sustained by an unwavering yearning for a more meaningful life and a clearer sense of purpose.
During this period, Reiki entered my life, initiating a beautiful and transformative shift. I embraced the practice of Mindfulness, gradually learning to quiet my mind and cultivate presence. This path ultimately led me to become a Reiki Master (25 years ago), fueled by a powerful desire to bring healing to others. My Holistic Coaching training (10+ years ago) further refined my ability to serve. I learned how to grow my capacity to be with the full range of emotions. This helped me to be more comfortable with life's uncertainties and to be more resilient. It also taught me to fully focus my energy on clients, guiding them to connect with their own inner world, needs, and aspirations.
Today, I am dedicated to cultivating presence, life balance, and joy, and I often experience true inner peace. Whether in my practice or as part of the hospice volunteer work that I do, it is from this grounded and deeply fulfilling space that I am now privileged to serve and witness others as they navigate life's most challenging chapters.
Facing mortality inspires the way I spend my free time. When I’m not working, I spend time with the people and practices that bring me joy. I treasure my family and long-standing friendships with my colourful cast of friends. Being in nature restores me to balance. Decorating is a passion; I love how colour, texture and textiles can transform a space. I make quirky smirky art from recycled fabrics and toys, I am a connoisseur of potato chips, and I never go anywhere without snacks.
(Please note that I also possess a current Vulnerable Sector Police Check)
